It works in semitones, allowing you to lower your tuning by between one semitone and an octave when you press the switch. This means you could go from drop D to drop D an octave lower instantaneously.
It adds a wealth of options to your tonal range, allowing you to access those deeper, darker tones. When added into your songs, you'll be able to introduce a different dynamic, introducing more voicings to your riffs and making them truly shine. There's also an OCT+DRY setting, which drops your tuning an octave whilst mixing in your dry signal. This means you can create a huge, wide ranging voicing which sounds like two guitars.
The on/off switch also helps you control your sound. It lets you choose whether the tuning drop happens momentarily, as you’re pressing the footswitch, or is on all the time. This means you can use it as both a quirky pitch shift effect as well as an essential foundation of your main guitar tone.
