The NU-X Horseman Overdrive and Boost Pedal delivers legendary transparent overdrive tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Inspired by one of the most desirable boutique overdrive pedals of the 1990s, the Horseman combines responsive drive, exceptional clarity and generous headroom at an accessible price.

Choose between two distinctive voicings using the footswitch. Gold mode produces a smooth, warm and transparent overdrive sound, while Silver mode offers an extended gain range for a stronger and more aggressive drive tone.

With its Gain control set low and Output turned up, the Horseman also works as a powerful clean boost. This makes it ideal for pushing a valve amplifier, adding definition to solos or stacking with other overdrive and distortion pedals.

An internal voltage-conversion circuit provides the increased headroom normally associated with an 18V-powered pedal while requiring only a standard 9V DC power supply. Treble, Gain and Output controls offer straightforward tone shaping, making it easy to move from a subtle clean boost to rich, harmonically detailed overdrive.

Selectable true and buffered bypass modes allow the Horseman to suit different pedalboard setups. True bypass keeps the pedal completely out of the signal path when switched off, while buffered bypass can help maintain clarity across longer cables and larger effects chains.
