Fender Custom Shop ’63 Stratocaster Time Capsule – Midnight Purple – Mint Condition
A stunning Fender Custom Shop ’63 Stratocaster Time Capsule finished in Midnight Purple and presented in mint condition, complete with its original Fender Custom Shop hard case, Certificate of Authenticity and accompanying paperwork. Bearing serial number C2585756, this is a beautifully preserved example of Fender Custom Shop’s early-’60s inspired Stratocaster.
Built around the period-correct 1963 Stratocaster specification, it combines an alder body with a maple neck and round-laminated rosewood fingerboard, capturing the feel and character of an original early-’60s Strat. Fender specifies the ’63 base model with a comfortable ’60s Oval “C” neck profile, vintage-style frets and Fender Custom Shop ’60s Strat single-coil pickups.
The Time Capsule treatment is designed to replicate an exceptionally well-preserved vintage instrument, combining Fender’s “No Buff” NOS-style lacquer treatment with subtly aged Closet Classic hardware. This gives the guitar authentic vintage character without the heavier wear associated with Fender’s Relic finishes.
The Midnight Purple finish is an official Fender Custom Shop colour, designated colour code 76, and looks particularly striking against the rosewood fingerboard and aged-style plastics.
