The Epiphone Riviera (Royal Tan) is a classic semi-hollow electric guitar that blends vintage 1960s style with modern reliability and playability. Based on the original Riviera models introduced in the early ‘60s, this reissue delivers the distinctive look, feel, and tone that made the model a favourite among rock, blues, and indie players.
Built with a laminated maple semi-hollow body and solid centre block, the Riviera offers a balanced tonal response with warmth, clarity, and excellent sustain, while reducing feedback at higher volumes. The double-cutaway design provides easy access across the fretboard, making it equally suited to rhythm and lead playing.
At the heart of the Riviera’s sound are a pair of Epiphone PRO Mini Humbuckers, delivering a brighter, tighter, and more focused tone than full-size humbuckers. This gives the guitar a unique voice—clear and articulate with strong midrange presence, ideal for everything from clean tones to driven sounds.
The mahogany neck features a comfortable rounded profile and is paired with a smooth laurel fingerboard, offering a familiar and effortless playing experience. A 12" fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets allow for easy bending and fluid playability.
Classic Riviera styling is completed with a Frequensator tailpiece, Tune-o-Matic bridge, Epiphone “E” pickguard, and vintage-inspired finishes. The Royal Tan finish adds a warm, retro aesthetic that perfectly complements the guitar’s heritage design.
Versatile, distinctive, and full of character, the Epiphone Riviera is a standout semi-hollow guitar suited to a wide range of musical styles.
