The Left Handed American Vintage II series recreates some of Fender's most celebrated vintage instruments, and the 1961 Stratocaster captures one of the most desirable eras of the original Strat design. Finished in striking Fiesta Red, this example combines unmistakable vintage Fender styling with the quality and playability expected from a modern USA-made Fender Stratocaster.
The guitar features the traditional Stratocaster combination of an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, together with three Pure Vintage '61 Stratocaster single-coil pickups. These deliver the clear, articulate and dynamic tones for which early-'60s Strats are famous, from sparkling cleans and distinctive in-between sounds to punchy blues and classic rock tones.
Vintage-inspired appointments include the 7.25" fingerboard radius, 1961 "C"-profile neck, vintage-style synchronized tremolo, bent-steel saddles, vintage-style tuners, three-ply pickguard and period-style Fender headstock detailing.
The Fiesta Red nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives the guitar a particularly authentic vintage appearance and will continue to develop character naturally with use.
This guitar is obviously second hand but is still in excellent condition and plays really well. Any obvious marks and blemishes will be visible in photos.
