The Electro Voice EKX-18SP is an 18-inch active subwoofer equipped with a QuickSmartDSP, meaning that it can be controlled via one knob on the back panel of the subwoofer. This rugged subwoofer features a comprehensive display for intuitive menu navigation, and it's the only one of its kind to feature a built-in cardioid setting, which makes it possible to lower the bass by as much as 30 dB. Lower decibels via the microphones makes for sound that is easier to control.

The EKX-18SP has a high-efficiency Class D amplifier on board that offers a maximum SPL of 134 dB. It also features a thermal management system consisting of a ventilator and sensors that keep the unit from overheating. Two XLR outputs have been included to make it easy to expand the EKX-18SP with additional speakers or subwoofers.

The EKX series is the latest addition to Electro Voice's portable speaker assortment, and as such it comprises speakers that combine the legendary EV audio quality with the reliability of the latest technology.
