The Copicat is one of the most iconic tape delay units ever produced, used extensively throughout the 1960s and 70s. This Mk IV version features a fully transistorised (solid-state) circuit, offering improved reliability while retaining the warm, characterful echo and preamp coloration that made the Copicat legendary.
This unit includes the distinctive three-head tape echo system, selectable via push buttons, allowing for a range of delay combinations and rhythmic repeats. Controls include Swell (echo level), Sustain (feedback), and dual Gain controls, making it highly versatile for guitar, keys, and studio use.
The mechanical tape transport system, tension arm, and internal components appear intact, and the unit retains its original aesthetic including the classic WEM branding.
